I've hit 14 weeks of pregnancy and am feeling great! Happy to report that my morning sickness and fatigue have finally dissipated woo woo ... helloooooo second trimester. Check out my stats and updates below.
Current disposition: feeling awesome - mood and physicality. I honestly feeling like my old self and sometimes even forget that I'm pregnant - especially now that I have to chase Lincoln around.
Energy level: 100% back - or it seems like! My runs are awesome but the weather here in DC is insanely hot, like 95 degrees, which makes my runs that much harder. I'm also getting some round ligament pain in the lower part of my uterus which tends to increase after a run.
Morning sickness: soooo happy to report that my morning sickness is gone altogether. I still have some slight food aversions but nothing like nausea or anything.
My pants: don't really fit. I still have a select pair that do fit and I'm trying to wear them out as much as possible. This means I am likely seen in the same outfit day after day.
Reflections: No real serious reflections this past week. I feel pretty lighthearted about my pregnancy at this point. I have the usual suspicions like hoping baby is safe and healthy in there. And with my baby bump appearance, I wonder if people can see or not. Sometimes I feel as if I have a huge bump and other times I feel as if it's non-existent...
Weight Gain: Eh, not sure about this one right here, but I have been watching what I'm eating given my 4 pound weight gain in the first trimester. I feel as if my body needed to gain that weight, but I also don't want it to be a slippery slope. I also notice that maintaing my workouts really gives me endorphins and energy, helping me to also consumer healthier foods throughout the day. I have to get my workout in in the morning otherwise it may not happen. I also have my nanny come two days a week to ensure I get a run in. Other than that, I feel good over the past few days. I honestly felt bigger last week and wanted to cry after seeing a few photos. This week, I looked at photos and thought I looked awesome. So weird. Is it my hormones affecting my body dismorphia? Anyways, just trying to stay healthy mamas while also giving my baby plenty of nutrients.
Doctor's Visits: no doctor's visits until I believe week 16. Counting down to hear little baby's heartbeat.
Who else thinks the second trimester rocks?!
