Gearing up for baby to arrive, and I am finally in prep mode! So. I wanted to share what a fourth-time mama brings to the hospital. Many of the items below are time-tested items. Items that I use to make the hospital feel more home-like and cozier. Things that will keep me comfortable. Things that will keep baby comfortable. I try my best not to overpack. After all, babies are pretty simple! That said, I do like to make the experience special and cozy. Sure! I love bringing my special blanket from home. Yes! I love bringing a custom swaddle for baby. Labor should be something that is memorable, and sometimes being prepared helps you achieve that even more. Below is a list of items I bring. Please comment and share what you can't live without! Hi Brittany! Usually overnight clothes, charger, book, snacks. He is simple :) I'm not sure he even packed a bag the last three times haha! It may be wise to bring a pillow and blanket for him. I remember we had a little couch and Ryan was able to nap after I got the epidural and labored through the night.

Thank you for the post! I’m always interested in what people pack in their hospital bags! With my first son I feel like I over packed massively, trying to check off all the items on the hospital booklet list, considering I was home not quite 24 hours after he was born! Do you only pack the one outfit for bub? Or do you pack a few? And what size?

Hi Emily! I only pack the one outfit usually for baby... the reason being, baby is usually doing skin to skin the majority of the time or is swaddled. So I like to keep baby in a diaper and the swaddle, so it's easy to do the skin to skin. The going-home outfit is more for looks :) hope that makes sense!

Hi! I was curious what diaper bag (or backpack) you prefer to pack all of baby’s essentials in. I am about to have my third baby and still have never been able to find a diaper bag or backpack I felt I bonded with. They either have very limited space, the pockets don’t hold diapers past size 1, or they are poor quality. I need advice. Without spending $350 also!

Do you do gifts for the nurses at all? If so, what do they consist of?
